VALPOLICELLA – Via Villa, 6 – Negrar di Valpolicella, VR –
Located in the vibrant, beating heart of Valpolicella, one of the most famous areas of the whole Italian peninsula for production of great red wines, The Norma Massaro Winery is rich in experience, handed down from generation to generation.
Around the middle of the 1900s, it was the grandfather who started the business, working the land as a sharecropper. Over the years, the passion for the land and love for wine was transmitted to his son Valentino who decided to buy the land worked by his father and to carry on the family tradition. It is this family tradition that continued to expand the business until we reach the dimensions of the present tday.
The real turning point came in 2015, when the family son’s, driven by the passion handed down by their grandfather and their father, decided to undertake the transition from the sale of their grapes, to the process of actual winemaking.
The company name is a heartfelt dedication by the children to their mother “Norma”
The vineyards of the property, thanks to their magnificent geographical situation, are exposed to the rays of the sun from the first light of dawn until sunset, thus enjoying an incredibly fortuitous and much-envied position.
This particular location gives the grapes, typically those of the territory, namely corvina, corvinone, rondinella and molinara – all the characteristics necessary to be able to express their full potential, giving life to wines of undoubted excellence and quality. The company philosophy is entirely aimed at the involvement and participation of all wine lovers on a unique journey, the starting point represented by the elegant and refined appearance of the label, but where the true protagonist is obviously the wine itself. The label is in fact only the final result of a long and careful study, aimed at giving the bottle, the “keeper” of the wine, a unique and identifiable image from the first glance.
The three products that emerge from our cellars every year are:
Valpolicella Classico DOC, which is seeped in thetaste and aromas closest to the tradition and history of the territory of Negrar, Valpolicella Ripasso Classico Superiore DOC, which stands out for its important structure and for an olfactory bouquet that dances on intense, deep notes and Amarone DOCG, the symbol of excellence of the
company, with its intense and extraordinary depth that contains all the peculiarities and characteristics of a complex wine, refined but at the same time with sweet, elegant nuances.
Hard work, innovation and passion are the main features that contribute to
produce these tantalisingly expressive wines, full of character and desire to amaze over the years.

Consigliatissima!
